Spaldington Airfield Wind Farm
Spaldington wind farm would, if constructed, be located on agricultural land about 5km north of Howden and to the west of the village of Spaldington.

If constructed, the project would comprise 5 wind turbines, control building and access tracks. The turbines would most likely have a "tower height" of approximately 80m and blade diameter of 80-95m.
Feasibility and environmental surveys have been carried out and the main reasons we believe the site is suitable for a wind farm include:
- Good wind speed (subject to confirmation from on-site monitoring)
- Large area of land, away from the houses in Spaldington Village
- Close to an electricity grid line
- No predicted significant ecological, archaeological or cultural heritage effects
- No predicted significant geological, hydrological or flood risk effects
- No predicted significant effects on telecomms links
- Lack of landscape designations and visual capacity of the site for wind turbines
